I found a great company online at http://www.replacementlensexpress.com where I could get order the frames AND the prescription lenses that I wanted. They certainly pass the savings along to the customer. They specialize in the prescription lenses, and also do things like adding tints and even custom shapes and very large prescriptions. (I think single vision lenses are only $25, and my tint was $12.- I got pale brown.)

The only thing is they don’t have any eyeglass frames on their site. When I e-mailed them, I got a phone call from their optician right away and told them about a frame that I found online. He was able to get the exact same frame from his vendor and sell it to me at wholesale prices!

It’s worth a look at the website, or you can jump straight to shooting them an e-mail if you know exactly what you are interested in: info@replacementlensexpress.com. My glasses were delivered in about 3 days, and are working out just fine!
